24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE CELEBRATES 8 YEARS OF STUDIO 80
A month-long celebration marks the 8th anniversary of Studio 80 this September, but there’s one extra special event, where we’re all going to raise our glass and toast to the future: 24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE. On Saturday September 21st we party extra hard and extra long (at least till 9 Am in the morning!) with a fabulous line up consisting of British artist TOM DEMAC (Hypercolour), Den Haag house hooligans PETE BANDIT & JASON SHAE (Times are ruff), Studio 80 resident GIDEON BOUWENS and Amsterdam’s finest, the unstoppable BEESMUNT SOUNDSYSTEM.
UK live-act TOM DEMAC totally stole our heart last year with a truly outstanding live-set @ Babylon in Studio 80. This friendly, down to earth producer from London made his name with colourful releases on forward thinking labels like Hypercolour, Liebe Detail and My Favourite Robot, while his tracks were remixed by the best of the best: Soulphiction, Jamie Jones and Wolf & Lamb. So we’re really happy that a year after his impressive Dutch live-debut, we’re able to ask Tom back to the 80!
PETE BANDIT & JASON SHAE are on a roll this year. Their releases on their own imprint Times are ruff are doing really well in the housecharts, while their dj-sets are always totally happening. They’ve rocked the 80 several times already and on top of that they also were one of the highlights of the 2013-edition of Welcome to the Future. BEESMUNT SOUNDSYSTEM is on a roll too. This Amsterdam duo produced a true hit for Lauhaus’ and Kabale’s Soweso Records this summer with the ‘All Day’ ep. A great release, especially thanks to solid floorfillers like ‘Rachel Starr’. On top of that David and Luigi are a great dj-team ofcourse and it’s always fun to have them around when we’re partying all night long.
Studio 80-resident GIDEON BOUWENS produced several great releases on labels like Agnes’ Sthlmaudio, Mindshake and Remote Area. His recent set @ WKND in 80 proved that he’s not only an excellent prime time dj, but also one of the rare artists who’re able to create the perfect vibe to warm up the night.
The second room on this edition of 24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE will be hosted by KamerRaad, with OAKESHOTT, ROSWITA (Shoeless) and a live-act of one of the upcoming artists of the next generation: DANIEL ZUUR.
MC @ 24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE is the one and only Antonio Abbo aka MC COMPLICATED.
