Hi Dennis! Let's start with an easy one. How are you doing? And where are you in the world?
I'm very well! Can't wait for the summer. I live in Malden (The Netherlands) near Nijmegen.

What's your musical history? How did you first get into music?
Answer: Long ago, I once started a small drive-inn show and discovered the love of music there. Stopped for a while, but during corona started everything up again.

Love House is a brand-new concept – what inspired you to start your own event?
Love House:
A house full of love: for the music and for each other! Dancing, laughing and intense enjoyment with like-minded people: Love House brings a wonderful evening for the slightly older young people (27+) in an unprecedented cozy, intense and euphoric atmosphere.

Who are Love House:
In these times of bleak, cold and short days, and global unrest, we are all looking for warmth, positive energy and connection with like-minded people.
Love House brings you a wonderful, intense and special evening with the very best house music: not the flat-out Slam-FM house or hard techno but warm, melodic, uplifting and very danceable melodic house, progressive and tech house in the style of and with the vibe of Burning Man or Ruigoord. Be open to a unique club night with music you haven't heard many times before, but will get you carried away and won't let go!
In terms of venues, Love House focuses on unique, intimate and atmospheric places with a historical touch. Every night we have two or three DJs who understand the specific music genre well and who know how to build up the evening so that you are guaranteed to go home with a good feeling and a big smile!
Because we like it so much in the summer, after an intense day of dancing at a festival we don't have to go to bed too late, we start nicely on time (21:00) and end on time (02:00).

That way, you still have a weekend to spare!
About the organizers:
Dennis and Xander have been friends since childhood and found each other early on in their love for dance music: from Michael Jackson, to 90s and hip-hop. However, in the past 5 years they have discovered electronic music that has touched their hearts but that you don't often hear: Melodic, progressive and deep house. Something had to be changed about that, they both thought, and thus the idea for Love House was born. Dennis (a.k.a. DJ Jake Snowflake) is himself a DJ in the genre and will also kick off the evening a few times. Xander also thinks along in terms of musical interpretation and helps with the organization of Love House. Together, they will do everything to create a very special evening and a unique experience!

What is the direction of Love House musically. What is your target audience, age wise and vibe-wise?
With our warm sound in Melodic and Progressive House, we hope to attract a somewhat older audience that wants to come and dance the night away. Sound and decor are very important to us, where people can still talk. But dancing should be central for us.

The Kapel van Klasse venue in Tilburg looks incredible. Please tell us a bit about this location and what visitors can expect.
Answer: In the former chapel of the Elizabeth Hospital you will find Class. The 1927 building has a rich history and has been beautifully converted into a fine, cozy place with many possibilities. We will transform this location into a true dancehall with light and sound and a fantastic line-up.

Please describe your music style as a DJ?
With the music of the genre Melodic Deep House, I play wonderful danceable nights for audiences.

You are bringing British DJ Paul Sparkes to Tilburg, what do you expect from him music wise?
Paul we now know through a well-known other club where we love to come, especially for Paul because, especially as the main act, he can delightfully transport the evening to the climax moment.

Tell us a little about DJ Lungarno please.
Answer: Lungarno is a DJ with a lot of experience in Deep House, and we think he is a true addition to this night. He improvises, pays close attention to the audience and takes them on a journey.

You have been a DJ for many years, please tell the readers about any good recent gigs you have played?
I have rotated in Malta and Hvar (Croatia), among other places, and am now focusing more on Nijmegen. Among others Het Nest Festival where I hope to play a set. This year I will also play a few sets with Waalhalla to bring this music to wider attention.

Aside from Love House, please tell us about your plans, upcoming events and DJ gigs.
For now, the main focus is on Love House.

What's next for Love House after Tilburg?
We are currently in discussions with several locations. Among others in Arnhem and Amsterdam. To be continued…
