Kanan K7

The Brazilian born Thiago Kanan A.K.A. Kanan K7 started his career as a electronic music DJ and Promoter in 1998. In 2002 while living in London he slowly worked his way up through the major British dance music scene, also this is where he begins to write his own music and promote events in notorious world-wide famous clubs like Brixton Academy as well as underground warehouse squat parties.

Creative and cutting edge DJ sets in the UK has led him to world class gigs around the globe, from high end clubs in Denmark to International Festivals in Morocco performing alongside well respected artists in the industry.

Defining his sounds nowadays it's nearly impossible, being a creative open-minded electronic music lover for nearly 15 years, it was expected of him to play a wide range of sounds, but expect anything between Techno / House / Electronica with a dash of minimalism and acid behind it.

From sunsets to late night time-slots, he's got it, but early morning after parties is definitely where he feels the most comfortable behind the machines, is that time of the weekend (or week) where more frantic tempo gives space for more intelligent complex slower rhythms.

Currently living in Cape Town, SA for the past 5 years where he established his brand Kinky Disco Music, Thiago alongside fellow co-workers and promoters are slowly but surely putting South Africa on the map of top destinations for A-Grade electronic music affairs.
