After years spent listening to and creating Hiphop, Lenzman first got seriously into Drum & Bass back in '96. After a couple of years of collecting records and building his skills, he gained some club experience in the late 90's in local Leiden venues LVC, Q-Bus & In Casa.

In 2000 Lenzman, who had decided to give up Hiphop to focus on his DJing, became more confident about his skills and started to record demos. This led to his first out-of-town booking: the now defunct Junglism nights in Speakers, Delft.

Not long after this Lenzman hooked up with Cutoff and later Mos to form Future Research. Between 2001 and 2004 Future Research promoted nights in OCCII, Twstd (both in Amsterdam) and Patronaat (Haarlem). During his period with Future Research, Lenzman played at most of the major Drum & Bass nights in the Netherlands as well as the Czech Republic, Belgium and Scotland.

But as time progressed, so did Lenzman and slowly but surely he developed his sound. In 2004 Lenzman decided to leave Future Research. This was partially because he felt the sound he represented no longer matched that of Future Research.

Since then, Lenzman has teamed up with long-time confidant Dan Stezo and Blazin' Beats resident Scarr to form Asylum. Asylum goes against the grain, providing a musical shelter in a scene dominated by dark and relentless Drum & Bass.

Apart from DJing Lenzman also produces the occasional track. To his pleasant surprise one of his efforts was recently signed by Nookie for his new Strictly Digital label. Entitled 'Visionary', the track is featured on the mixed album 'Atmosphere: Volume 1' and is now available in specialized music shops everywhere.

Dan Stezo was first introduced to the art of MC-ing when he started "coppin'" Hiphop tapes at the tender age of 10. His passion for lyricism grew and in the late 90's he joined forces with local Hiphop outfit Ancient Scriptures.

In the years that followed, Dan Stezo collaborated with several Reggae and Hiphop artists developing a unique but versatile style. He also gained considerable on-stage experience through performing at various major venues and festivals with Ancient Scriptures.

In 2003, Dan Stezo was first asked to MC on Drum & Bass by long-time confidant Lenzman. The partnership proved successful and since then Dan Stezo and Lenzman began working together increasingly. Dan Stezo joined Lenzman at Future Research and was a well received guest when the crew toured the Czech Republic.

Over the last two years Dan Stezo has boosted his output as a Drum & Bass MC, performing at many major Drum & Bass nights in The Netherlands and, as a regular, at the Project Funk, Illy Noiz and Bam nights.

Recently Dan Stezo, Lenzman and Scarr decided to strengthen their commitment to the soulful side of Drum & Bass under the Asylum moniker. Asylum goes against the grain, providing a musical shelter in
a scene dominated by dark and relentless Drum & Bass.

DJ Trap currently lives in Arnhem.
He's been deep into music since an early age. He used to play guitar in bands for years, but around 1996 he discovered drum'n'bass at nights in Tivoli and by tapes and cd's that friends gave him. Then it was all over with rock-music. He got hooked to the drum'n'bass sounds.

Around 1999 Trap started buying vinyl, he sold his guitar amplifier and bought some turntables and a mixer. Since then he's been spinning hard every day. The work started paying off with a few gigs at some houseparties, around town, and at the Burgerweeshuis.

Unreal and Tyson of the Formskru, who he'd been steadily providing with mixtapes since the start, gave him a couple of opening slots at the legendary Forms parties. In 2004 Trap was asked to join the Formskru and he hasn't looked back since.

Trap is known for his diverse sets, going from the liquid side of things to the partyvibe tunes, all mixed together in a tight way.
