DANIEL BELL (Accelerate, Perlon), US
Daniel Bell is one of the few old-school legends of Detroit still at the forefront of electronic music today. Originally influenced by Chicago House and avant-garde composers such as Steve Reich, Bell’s music laid the foundation for what is now known as the “minimalist” approach in house and techno music.
MIKE HUCKABY (Deep Transportation, S Y N T H), US
Tastemaker, educator, sound designer, and Motor City proponet. Mike Huckaby has done much for Detroit electronic music. The man behind the once legendary Record Time store has gathered an encyclopedic knowledge of music. He is one of those guys who knows all the roots and culture of electronic dance music. He is a person who can see beyond the hype and divisions within the scene. Mike knows exactly what the music is.
ROBIN ORDELL (Eklo, Half Baked), UK
London based and rising talent Robin Ordell’s music influences comes mostly from Jazz bringing in deep soulful grooves, dubs & a funky music stem, always characterized by improvisation, syncopation and usually forceful rhythm.
SONODAB (Trazable Recordings, Fasten Musique), ES
Originally born in Barcelona, Chus Duran aka Sonodab fell in love with the old vinyl surrounding him in childhood and founding an eclectic taste. A highly talented producer to emerge on the electronic scene, Sonodab has already edited and remixed for some of the biggest names in the business.
