PALISADE live aka REDSHAPE (DE, Laid)
Palisade is the deeper and more experimental side of Redshape.
We would tell you all about Redshape, but we don’t know who he actually is. He hides his real identity behind a red mask at all times, even wearing it onstage at his club dates around Europe, which of late there have been many. We do know the man behind the mask lives in Berlin, he does a rocking live act and he’s released half a dozen tracks over the last year or so on labels such as Delsin, Styrax Leaves and Music Man. We also can reveal he has studied a lot of old Detroit techno records: His sound is a new update on old school templates, and it’s getting a thorough rinsing by DJs as diverse as Laurent Garnier, Josh Wink, Âme and Cassy.
“I don’t prepare any details like breakdowns or mixes before I go on stage,” says Redshape. “My plan is to do a recordable jam session which is kinda organic and never really the same in any of its components while still sounding straight.”
If you see a guy hanging out in the alley behind your local club with a red mask on, don’t call the police, it’s probably just Redshape psyching himself up to go on stage.

PABLO BOLIVAR (ES, Desolat)
Born in 1981, works as a musician and DJ since 1997. He produces for various music labels, especially for Avantroots and Regular, for which, in January 2006 he released his first album titled "Anjanas". A delicate work in composition, which embodies his deep electronic landscape but also dance style. After several EP?s and DJ mixes came out his second solo album: “Recall” (Regular, 2009). This time a recording full of memories of his homeland, a great and personal evolution with soulful Deep House and Ambient pieces.
Annually, as a gift, he gives his followers and fans the DJ mix series: “Música Para Estar” y “Mind Groove Music”. Very personal sets with a powerful but careful line of deep sounds and exquisite transitions. Much love from Pablo Bolivar.
In 2007 Sergio Aphro joins Pablo Bolivar to create the band Pulshar. A band where to unleash his most advanced work ranging from dub to electronic soul. After several EPs in 2008 is out their first album, "Brotherhood" (Phonobox, 2008), and now, two years later, the new effort is entitled "Inside" (Desolat, 2010). In both editions we can enjoy a fine production accompanied by Aphro?s delicate soul/reggaevoice. Together they produced and did the post production of soundtracks for exhibitions and television advertising campaigns, this way they gave birth to Avantroots Productions.
For years he was part of the Decoder Muzique team. One of the most important electronic music distributers in Spain, where he was leading the national sales department. He currently resides in Barcelona, teaching as a professor of Ableton Live in Mad Center, and running Avantroots Records.

ROOM 2 ::: 7 YEARS LESSIZMORE
MATHIAS KADEN (DE, Freude am Tanzen)
Whether it is Openening, Primetime or Aftershow, Mathias’ intuition for the crowd and location, proves each time again that he lives for his profession. His music is both, distinctly ambitious and refreshing. Following the House music of the 90s, he works thoroughly to create new sound structures. For a while, he has been using different types of percussion elements. The result is an enjoyable rhythm, which communicates with its audience in a very particular way. In a playful approach, he creates an incredible repertoire of feelings that reproduces within the crowd. Mathias’ various sets include the following sound features: funky, freaky, dashing, dub, slamming, enriched by African and South American percussions.
Inspired and motivated by the first House & Techno DJs at Bioxultra in Gera he got his first turntables at the age of 14. One could argue it is necessary to live wherever the sound rises at a particular time. However, Mathias draws on his own strengths. Away from sated urban in- and output, he has always maintained the objectivity for his music.
For 7 years, he has been the resident DJ of the well-known club Muna. He is not only DJing there, but he also supports talented folks within the Freshblood project. Additionally, he is jointly responsible for the Klanglauf events at Kassablanca in Jena, as a DJ and organizer. Together with Marek Hemman, Mathias released 4 EPs on the label Freude am Tanzen and 4 own EPs on Vakant. Amongst others, he also did remixes for Matthias Tanzmann, Onur Özer, Dapayk, Anja Schneider, Daniel Stefanik and Trentemöller.
DJing and, later on, the production of electronic music have been his occupation since 1996. With his style of work, Mathias joins those, who refuse to produce and release music excessively. Thus, the necessity to make records that will remain long lasting is one of the guiding motifs of his profession.

THE MOLE live (CAN, Wagon Repair)
Dance music fans in Victoria and Vancouver in the 90s heard a lot of The Mole in his infancy. His mentors, believing he had a natural talent, pushed him from his DJ beginnings into music production. This natural talent was, in reality, mountains of hard work consummated in secret not unlike the rigorous discipline kung fu students undertake in those wonderful bamboo forests. For The Mole though this retreat took the form of long winters in the French and arguably the cultural capital of Canada, Montreal. Long, cold winters indeed.
It was only natural that the city’s storied disco story would fit him well. Warm people and cold nights warming blood like so much sap in spring. The Mole is often reminded of his voyageur past (as an 18th generation Canadian he is very proud of his French and English roots) when navigating the graveyards of vinyl that abound in his hometown. What could make a black crack addict feel more at home in this cold climate? I tell you what: 7 years of residency at the Laika bar and numerous appearances at the MUTEK Festival.
Today, The Mole calls Berlin his home. The years have been good and the nights are long. His acclaimed 2008 album "As HIgh As The Sky" contained the immortal soundtrack to our lives "Baby, You're The One". 2009 saw the birth of 7 Inches Of Love, a brainchild of The Mole and pal Kooch - these little nuggets that are cherished by the few that find them. 2010 saw him back with his brethren, recording and touring together with Cobblestone Jazz and the outcome was the aptly titled LP "The Modern Deep Left Quartet" and the recent blossoming in 2011 and 2012 of three limited 12" singles on Wagon Repair Ltd.
We reach the present - 2012 has seen releases on New Kanada and Haunt. Perhaps most intriguing is the birth of his own label, Maybe Tomorrow (co-run by Jon Berry of Kompakt). The creative process now becomes a reality to many ears rather than just his own. In his own words, "I always said that I'm doing this to give back to the community that I took so much from, that I learned so much from. I guess this is just an extension of that. And in some strange round about way it's also my way of thanking everyone, for supporting me and keeping me on this path. Wherever it's leading... "

CLOVIS (US, Lessizmore, Culprit)
Clovis has been DJing and collecting various forms of music to do so since 2005. He is the youngest in the crew at Culprit Records based in Los Angeles, California, which is his hometown. A specialist in after hours, post sunrise affairs and opening sets, he generally enjoys more slow burning house, techno and disco, music that is both cerebral yet firmly rooted in groove. He has opened for and played alongside such talents as Magda, Matthew Dear, Visionquest, Three, Matt Tolfrey, Radio Slave, Lee Burridge and a host of others, many while holding it down in the early hours of Culprit's legendary parties at The Standard rooftop in downtown LA during the summer months. In 2010 his first production work saw the light of day, with remixes released on Culprit and Adjunct Audio, followed by original works on both of the aforementioned label's various artists compilations in 2011. More is to come in 2012 with a debut EP in the works and a slew of remixes, supported by an expanding repertoire of DJ dates in the US and internationally.
