Biografie
Immer, real name Geert was born in 1988 in a small town near Eindhoven, Holland. Geert was raised around music from a young age; his father was DJ and ran his own Sunday event called, "Tea At Ben's". During these nights he would play varying music, everything from The Beatles to Kraftwerk, and Jimi Hendrix to Lionel Hampton. His fathers love of music and passion for all genres helped to mold Geert's own drive to find out new and innovative music for himself. By the age of 14 Geert had already well surpassed the typical music that his class mates would be listening too. It was at this time he found, and became engrossed with, the sounds of Jacking and Chicago house music. He began listening heavily to artists such as Jason Hodges, Jesse Rose, Troydon and Switch/Solid Groove. Some time after he felt the need to follow in his dad's footsteps and get more involved. He bought some CD Decks and it wasn't long until he began playing in small clubs around his area (under the name of Jack LesL), and even secured his own residency at a night called Electrocute at Effenaar (Eindhoven).
Still only 18, Geert again felt the need to search out new music. After becoming disillusioned with the jacking scene, which he felt was becoming too generic and one dimensional, he decided that maybe he could put his hand to producing something new and exciting. It was also at this time he acquired a copy of Reason. After muddling about with it for a few months he found his head was still stuck as to where to go with his sound, and gave up. Fast forward 2 years and he finally had clear idea of the sound that he wanted to make. It was now that he had finally finished his long journey to deeper and groovey house music. Over the past few years he has really honed his skills, listening to people like Dixon, Kris Wadoworth, STL and Shed.
Immer has already shown a forward thinking attitude towards music and is not scared to innovate when he feels he needs too. With releases already out on the well respected Dutch label, Klopfgiest, and more already planned on great labels such as SheWolf, the future is looking very bright for this young man.
