Beat Bizarre

Originally started as a duo in 1999, 2005 saw the Beat Bizarre project finding it's final formation as the solo project of Martin Spanner Zimmermann. From the first moment and first beats, Beat Bizarre turned the established paradigm of Psychedelic Trance upside down with it's minimal and repetitive, yet everything but monotonous grooves. Dark yet funky, the fresh sound left behind the prominent melodies and catchy hook lines in favour of slow progression, and powerfully seductive hypnotic journeys. Back then, the sound of this Danish project was the epitome of a movement that had just begun: Progressive Trance. Fast forward 20 years later, and Beat Bizarre's unique approach to progressive trance continues to evolve and grow, always finding a multitude of fresh structures and soundscapes with which it can entrance our minds and hearts through perpetual motion, booming basslines and perfectly sleek grooves.
