Biografie
Traditional Scottish/Irish folk music
The Helen Flaherty Band are a group of 4 musician friends. We have known each other for a good few years and the idea of playing together came after an evening of chatting and laughing and music in Herentals, Belgium. We tried a few different things to find our sound and settled on lots of songs and harmony with a few instrumental tracks also. We play traditional and newly composed songs and tunes and use 4 voices, guitar, cittern, flute, fiddle, bodhran and feet percussion to accompany the songs and tunes.
