Biografie
Toine Scholten is a Blues and Jazz based guitarist and vocalist living in the Hague, Netherlands. He is currently busy writing new original music for his upcoming debut album entitled "Diversity."
Additionally, Scholten is traveling and performing throughout Europe, while expanding upon his Blues and Jazz roots by exploring a variety of different musical realms. Toine Scholten has performed on one of the most popular shows on Dutch Television "De Wereld Draait Door," a right of passage for up and coming Dutch acts, as part of a program entitled "The Best Singer-Songwriter of the Netherlands.
He has opened for such luminaries as Robben Ford, Matt Scofield and King of the World. In addition to his performing and writing activity, Toine Scholten's main priority is improving his musical abilities and knowledge through practice and study, working with expert guitarists and teachers such as Jean Francois Prins, Jeen Raabs, Jens Larson, and Vincent Koning.
He also currently studies with jazz pianist, arranger, and master theorist Udo van Boven.
