Their faultless back catalogue boasts a dominance of vinyl releases on the likes of
Visionquest, Pressure Traxx, Jesus Loved You Drumma, NG Trax and Bodyparts, and
continues to draw support from industry genii such as Ricardo Villalobos, Rhadoo,Pedro,
Raresh, Barac, Luciano, Ryan Crosson and Valentino Kanzyani, to name but a few.
Having both experienced an eclectic musical upbringing, the pair first met in 2009 and
soon realized that they also shared comparable influences from Hip-Hop to Breakbeat
and Dubstep. They originally found their way into electronic music through listening to
online radio, before the proliferation of exceptional music emanating from the
Romanian underground scene over the past decade, soon lured the duo out to the city's
growing array of underground parties; most notably the legendary venue Studio Martin,
where Eddy and Levii further refined their taste for the acute underground Romanian
sound.
Such exposure was also the main catalyst behind the duo's ignited interest in DJing. This
in turn lead to the logical decision to begin producing in 2011, and so Vinyl Speed Adjust
was born and the unassuming pair have been meticulously honing their production
skills ever since. Their hard work and endeavours in the studio are surely paying off,
with the quality of their sound for all to hear in everything which they seamlessly
compose.
As demonstrated by their choice of pseudonym, the pair are vinyl aficionados, with both
of their labels pushing out nothing short of sheer quality underground wax. Their
Crystal Structures imprint focuses more on old school caliber artists, with releases to
date featuring the likes of Mark Ambrose, Aubrey, Thor, Exos, C- Rock/ Dubstar and
Anonym.
Their second imprint, self-titled as VSA Records, debuted in late 2015, and is currently
awaiting its fourth release. Having initially been established as a means of showcasing a
transient medley of their own experimental sounds, the label has begun welcoming
some finely curated guest artists for the subsequent releases, each showcasing their
respective imaginative sound.
On the gigs front, February 2018 saw the guys embark on a 12-show tour across North
America and Mexico, with standout appearances at Flash, Washington DC, Dialogue, LA,
Electric Pickle, Miami and TBA Brooklyn, NYC, to name but a few.
Their touring schedule continued to reach new heights this year, including a memorable
debut in Australia, having been invited to headline the infamous S.A.S.H.'s 7th birthday in
Sydney back in April. This summer their attention turns to South America, where they
will be touring 5 different countries across the continent (Brazil, Chile, Paraguay,
Argentina & Colombia), including a show at the legendary D-Edge in Sao Paulo.
Their efforts in the studio haven't ceased, despite the hectic tour schedule, with a 3rd EP
on Visionquest due for release in the fall, which includes 4 original tracks. This follows
their 'Reflections EP' which dropped in March, a remix for Ibizan imprint 'Isla Records'
run by 2Vilas, and a further remix for Herr, the Catalonian co-founder of 'Yakazi
Records', both due for release this summer.
Through their consummate work ethic and refreshing productions, the duo has
unsurprisingly caught the ear of some of the industry's leading and most illustrious
figures, and with every one of their releases fast becoming a commodity for some of the
finest A&R tastemakers on the circuit, Vinyl Speed Adjust are unquestionably two of
Romania's most inventive and promising talents.
