Biografie
Since he started DJing in 2012, 25-year-old Alex Wood has taken the Orlando dance music scene by storm and doesn't plan on looking back. From promoter, to DJ, to producer, Alex jumped headfirst into the event industry in 2012 with one goal in mind: to push the music and culture he loves to as many fans as possible.
Alex got his start after forming his own Thursday night weekly, Ignition, in February of 2012 at the iconic Firestone Live in downtown Orlando. The success of this party gave Alex the opportunity to perform in front of thousands, pushing both popular and underground sounds to the rapidly growing Orlando dance music scene on a weekly basis. His DJ sets are not your typical 'press play" routines that most are accustomed to. Instead, audiences can expect a diverse array of sounds and genres that will keep fans on their toes from beginning to end. Whether he's opening for a touring artist or headlining a show himself, Alex knows how to work crowds and rooms of any size.
With multiple weekly residencies and a vault of future releases at his disposal, Alex plans to further make his mark as a prolific contender in the Orlando dance music community by pushing new music to the masses in 2017, which will surely be a strong year for this rising house music DJ and producer.
